Βρεταννίας κ. Νικήτας, περιστοιχιζόμενος ἀπό τούς Βοηθούς Ἐπισκόπους του καί ἄλλους στενούς συνεργάτας του. Ἀντηλλάγησαν χαιρετισμοί καί ἀναμνηστικά δῶρα.

Beloved Brethren in Christ,
Standing here in this magnificent Cathedral, celebrating its own anniversary of nine hundred and fifty years, we are moved by the grace of the Holy Spirit to give thanks for this ecumenical gathering, which accords the highest honor to the Most Holy and Great First Ecumenical Council of the Three Hundred and Eighteen Fathers gathered in Nicaea. We stand together in this Evensong, from the East and from the West, to pause and reflect upon the Seventeen Hundred years since this sacred Καιρός, that established the Faith of the Apostles once and for all.

One hundred years ago, the Holy Mother Church of Constantinople established with the Name, Θυατείρων, Her Sacred Eparchy for Great Britain and Western and Central Europe. For one hundred years, this Metropolis – now an Archdiocese – has been the Elder Sister to all the emergent Eparchies throughout the Europe over which she once ruled.

Το πρωί της Κυριακής, 23 Οκτωβρίου 2022, ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίος, ο οποίος πραγματοποιεί επίσημη επίσκεψη στην Ιερά Αρχιεπισκοπή Θυατείρων και Μεγάλης Βρετανίας, προέστη της Πατριαρχικής Θείας Λειτουργίας, που τελέστηκε στον Καθεδρικό Ναό της του Θεού Σοφίας, στο Λονδίνο.
Στο πλαίσιο της επισκέψεώς του στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίο, το απόγευμα του Σαββάτου, 22 Οκτωβρίου, μετέβη και χοροστάτησε κατά την Ακολουθία του Εσπερινού στον Ιερό Ναό Αγίου Δημητρίου Edmonton.
